STEPS
At Last! The Formula For Virtually Dust-Free, Multi-Groove Dirt Racing For Every Event (With Less Work)!

STEP 1:

Create pathways for water to enter the stable sub-base and at the same time break up the hardened crust, forming dirt chunks without the shaved powder produced by other Grader blades. Track Tech Concepts' Cracker-Blade with universal bolt holes mounts on your Grader's mortarboard.

STEP 2:

Reduce the dirt chunk size to roughly 3/4 inch for efficient moisture absorption. Track Tech Concepts supplies the instructions with purchase of set-up.

STEP 3:

Upgrade your water truck with a pump, spray-bar, and nozzles. Track Tech Concepts supplies the instructions with purchase of set-up.

STEP 4:

Spray the water (without driving in the truck) in the wet groove. Apply water until each section begins to run, and then move on.

STEP 5:

Wheel-pack smooth within an hour after watering.

STEP 6:

Spray 300 to 400 gallons of our water-based 100% biodegradable SUN & WIND SHIELD. This treatment protects the racing surface from the sun and/or wind unevenly over-drying the racing surface.

The racing surface can sit idle for 5+ hours and only needs to be activated by a bonsai water truck run (200-300 gallons) 15 minutes before cars are permitted on the track. Naturally, this allows you to keep heavy equipment off the track, thereby preventing damage. Additionally, you can start the show on time, knowing that your entire racing surface will be excellent.

Note! We suggest using a poly-propylene tank with a 3-4 hp trash pump to mix & spray using several fan nozzles mounted on the back of a 1 ton truck.

-------------

Note! If you need to move excess cushion down the track for mixing in, we recommend:

  • A) Perform STEP 1 (shown above)
  • B) Move the excess down the slope using your normal methods.
  • C) Rent a smooth heavy drum compactor (dampen your track if needed) to compact the surface tight and hard.
  • D) Use the Cracker-Blade to quickly re-crack the groove.
  • E) Perform STEPS 2-6 (shown above).

Note! During multiple day shows should Mother Nature soften your track causing a large cushion and there isn't enough time to perform steps A through E, we recommend using a small Pan-Scraper to collect and move the excess cushion to an off-track location to be returned and mixed in when time permits.

------------

The Cracker-Blade System has been 7 years in engineering, trial testing of wear-resistant materials, and the development of production tooling.

We guarantee the mold-board Mounting Plates' workmanship and materials for 5 years of service with proper use.

The Cracker-Cutter-Blade's service life is a function of your tracks' composition and the number of shows. We expect the double-ended reversible and replaceable Cracker-Blade's abrasive wear life to exceed the average 26 week schedule.
